IDC bearings and SMS Deepen and Expand the New Collaboration
Amid rapid global industrial transformation, IDC Bearing and SMS Engineering (China) Co., Ltd. (SMS Group), a world-leading metallurgy group, have achieved significant progress in their collaboration, marking a new phase of deepened cooperation and expanded market impact.
Cooperation Foundation: Rigorous Qualification and Mutual Trust In April 2024, IDC’s Changzhou Factory passed SMS Group’s stringent supplier audit, demonstrating exceptional technical capability, quality management, and production efficiency. This milestone reinforced mutual trust and set the stage for further collaboration.
One year later, IDC officially began supplying high-performance bearing products for SMS Group’s metallurgical equipment. Production is currently underway as planned.
In June 2025, Dr. Ing. Tobias Leiting (VP of Automation, Digitalization, and Service Solutions), General Manager Tian Wenqing, and Senior Sales Manager Lu Mingzheng of SMS Group revisited IDC’s Changzhou Factory.
The visit highlighted SMS Group’s commitment to the partnership and included detailed evaluations of production processes, equipment operation, and quality control protocols. IDC upholds a “quality-first” approach, with strict oversight from raw material inspection to final product delivery, ensuring compliance with SMS Group’s high standards.
During the visit, SMS Group executives emphasized strong confidence in the domestic market’s potential. Both parties discussed strategies to deepen cooperation in China, leveraging SMS Group’s global expertise and IDC’s localized service strength to meet growing and customized industrial demands.
This partnership will explore new collaborative models to support the upgrading of China’s metallurgical sector and contribute to global industrial progress.
